Sanjeevani Blood Donor Cell
Objective
1. To Make aware the students & nearby residents about the importance of Blood donation and Haemoglobin Test.
2. To provide the blood to blood donor cell of the city as part of social Responsibility.
3. To make the students specially girls about the need of health diet and personal hygiene.

Awareness campaign for blood donation and Hemoglobin test
Sanjeevani Blood Donation Cell organized an awareness campaign on Thursday, 19, January 2023, with the aim of motivating citizens, parents and students to donate blood with the concept of “Blood Donation, life Donation” and free hemoglobin check for women. This program was organized under the joint aegis of Sanjeevani Blood Donation Cell, NCC, NSS, Sports department and Women’s cell committee. In which 30 college students and 5 professors distributed pamphlets in and around the college premises and informed people about importance of blood donation and hemoglobin test.
Blood Donation Camp and Hemoglobin Test
Sanjeevani Blood Donation Cell organized a Blood Donation Camp and Hemoglobin test camp on Friday, 20th January 2023 under the guidance of Principal Dr. M.G. Chandekar. Hedgewar Blood Bank helped in this camp by collecting the blood from the donors. In this camp 50 students, faculty members and non teaching staff of the college donated blood. Hemoglobin test of 300 people was done, which included college Girls students, Teachers, non-teaching staff and parents of students.
In this program apart from Sanjeevani Blood Donation Committee, NCC, NSS, Sports Department and Women’s cell of the college were involved and they worked hard for the success of the program.
Hemoglobin and Diet Counseling Program
Hemoglobin and Diet counseling program was organized by Sanjeevani Blood Donation Committee on Saturday, 21st January 2023 for the students of the college. Dr. Sumita Jogad, Head of Department and Chief Dietitian of Government Ayurveda College, was guest speaker in this program. The purpose of this program was to give information about the causes of low hemoglobin in girl students and what kind of diet should be taken to remove them and what types of asanas should be done to increase hemoglobin in the body and reduce stress. The students were made aware of their problems and solutions. Apart from this, the personal problems of the girl students were also solved by Dr. Sumita Jogad, Madam very easily.
148 students of the college participated in this program and also interacted with the speaker. In this program apart from Sanjeevani Blood Donation Committee, NCC, NSS, Sports Department and Women’s cell of the college were involved.
