Transition of students from the academic environment to the professional world

The objective of the Training and Placement Cell in a college is to facilitate the successful transition of students from the academic environment to the professional world. This cell acts as a bridge between students and potential employers, preparing students for the job market and assisting them in securing suitable job opportunities. The primary objectives of the Training and Placement Cell include:

  • Career Guidance: Providing students with career counseling and guidance to help them make informed decisions about their career paths based on their interests, skills, and aspirations.
  • Skill Development: Conducting various training programs, workshops, and seminars to enhance students’ employability skills, such as communication, teamwork, problem-solving, and technical expertise.
  • Industry Exposure: Organizing industrial visits, guest lectures, and interactions with professionals from different industries to familiarize students with real-world work environments and industry expectations.
  • Internship and Training Opportunities: Facilitating internship and summer training opportunities for students to gain practical experience and apply theoretical knowledge in real-world settings.
  • Placement Assistance: Assisting students in finding suitable job placements and internships by coordinating with companies, conducting campus recruitment drives, and connecting students with potential employers.
  • Networking and Industry Relations: Building and maintaining strong relationships with companies and industry professionals to enhance placement opportunities and foster collaboration between academia and the corporate sector.
  • Resume Building and Interview Preparation: Providing guidance to students on creating effective resumes and conducting mock interviews to boost their confidence and readiness for job interviews.
  • Entrepreneurship Support: Encouraging and supporting entrepreneurial ventures among students, providing resources and mentorship for aspiring entrepreneurs.
  • Alumni Engagement: Engaging with college alumni and utilizing their industry connections to create job opportunities for current students.
  • Tracking and Monitoring: Keeping track of students’ placement progress, employment status, and feedback from employers to continually improve placement strategies and training programs.

Training and Placement workshop  organised by RTMNU for students and  at& P officers. Nearly 90 students attended it at Gurunanak Bhavan , RTMNU.

Job Fair on 9th and 10th Dec. 2022. Around 120 Students attended the event organised by Govt. of Maharashtra

Orientation Program by Bajaj Finserv.  Around 200 students attended the session
